With more than three decades of construction operational and management experience, Billy Goff has developed a passion for helping churches. Being involved in over $500 million of church construction, he has developed a process that saves time, money and avoids train wrecks. He has an incredible ability to listen to the needs of churches and help them distinguish between their needs and wants. As a Christian who understands the real meaning of vision and stewardship, he assist churches in setting priorities and creating the proper balance between required function, required space and available dollars.
His projects have ranged from the west coast to the east coast with worship rooms from 200 seats to 5,000 seats. “Once we decided to help churches grow, it was important to help all churches, not just the mega church.” In addition to building churches, he has been involved with projects in Europe, Asia and South America ranging in size to $1.6 billion.
After seeing the importance of the “team” approach while building his first church, Billy pioneered the use of the “Partnering Process” in church construction. This process has proven to save the church time and money in the construction process. Most important, it protects the church leadership’s integrity and trust. It eliminates surprises, which can be extremely costly and cause delays.
The greatest compliment Billy has received to date came from Joe Ward of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Mansfield, TX. Along with the usual accolades for a great building, came the following statement, “ Already we have seen over 100 people come to Christ in the new worship center!” Billy sums up his purpose in life with, “God has a plan for me and it is to build His house”.
Billy grew up in Kentucky and attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. After a stint in the Marine Corps, he married his best friend, Kathy and they have five children. He has been with Precept Builders for 14 years and currently serves as President. He and his family attend Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall.
