Ed Marcelle

Ed serves as the Lead Pastor of Terra Nova Church, "which means I oversee all areas of Terra. As we have divided our leadership into the zones of the Eternal areas (theology, vision, worship), Internal (management, systems, organization) and External (social, cultural and missional outreach), I connect to all of them. Specifically, my tasks are teaching and preaching, directional and visionary leadership (cultural architecture), ministry oversight (including leadership training) and connections to ministries beyond Terra (like Acts 29 Network, mission agencies, denominations and seminaries). I also serve the Acts 29 Network as their Northeast Coordinator."

"The highlights for me are the individual moments. Some I have experienced and some I have been told. They are the moments when individuals have told me that God has changed their lives through the simple, obedient act of me preaching. I have received emails, cards, and the personal comments from people who let me know these things. They are recovering fundamentalists, atheists, and people lost in a host of cheap substitutes for a full life. They are Christians with a church going history who have never felt fulfilled, soldiers who found meaning right before they shipped, artists who have never before felt embraced by the church. I have had the joy of knowing those stories and connecting with some of these people. I can not tell you their stories. They are private, sacred and satisfying moments. I think they are what Paul was talking about when he told Timothy he would enjoy the first fruits of his labor as a pastor."
