Stephen has more than 26 years of architectural design and management experience. He began his career as a young intern with the prominent firm of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates in New York City. He has expanded his expertise from those early years and enjoys many architectural accomplishments which include several award winning projects for cultural, corporate, educational and liturgical building types.
More recently, Stephen led the design team for new facilities at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. Prestonwood is one of the largest churches in the country and Mr. Pickard is assisting them in the expansion of their current facilities, including developing a Master Plan for their new 125 acre satellite campus in Prosper, Texas. The first phase of the Master plan includes new multi-purpose worship space for 1,700 persons, a 10,000 square foot common area and a 40,000 square foot education building, situated on 25 of the available 125 acres.
He is currently involved in the design of several Worship and Education facilities for churches all over the United States.
Stephen lives in a historical neighborhood with his wife Beth and has three children. He is active in the community and enjoys relaxing with a game of golf.
