Josh Whitehead is Executive Pastor at Faith Promise Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Faith Promise is a church with an extraordinary vision—to impact 356,000 unchurched and dechurched people in the seven surrounding counties.
The church started in 1995 with 250 people, and has grown to over 2,800 people worshipping each weekend in three identical worship services.
Josh became Executive Pastor in 2005, after the church had plateaued in attendance. During his three years leading, Faith Promise has almost doubled in weekly attendance.
Josh’s goal is to lead by implementing the vision and values of the church through the staff and ministries. He has doubled the staff in three years and developed comprehensive hiring, coaching, development and evaluation plans.
Josh has been married to Kim for seven years and they have two children, Hayden Thomas and Madison Kaye.
