Abstract
An Evaluation of Selected Dallas Theological Seminary Alumni in the Role of Assistant and Associate Pastor in the Local Church
by Martin E. Hawkins
This dissertation project sought to evaluate the Assistant/Associate Pastor of Dallas Theological Seminary for their preparation and training. It examined areas that affect their calling, skill in performing their ministry and ability to manage their ministry. It will demonstrate where the training was strongest and where further work may be needed to give a future Assistant/Associate Pastor a successful ministry in the area of their calling. Surveying these assistants revealed that they were sure of their call, wanted more training, and were contented in their positions as assistants.
