Abstract
The thesis of this dissertation is that successful church planting coaches build caring relationships with their planters; know the stages of church planting, and can help their planters progress through those stages; and know how to help their planters realize their potential as a church planter.
The literary review surveys of some of the key literature concerning church planting, some of the most critical literature concerning coaching, and the literature specifically geared towards the coaching of church planters.
The Research Procedure defines the Case Study Interview Questions and Church Planter Surveys used to prove the hypotheses. The case studies involved three of the top church planting coaches in the nation from the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, the Baptist General Conference, and the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
