Redeemer Bible Church is seeking a Ministry Coordinator who will be the key go to person for all support and coordination of the church's ministries.
The position requires the spiritual gifts of leadership (Rom 12:8) and administrations (1 Cor 12:28), with the ability to encourage others. We are looking for someone who has significant experience in administration of a church, business, and/or other volunteer organization who would like to use that experience to serve and grow the body of Christ through the ministries of Redeemer Bible Church.
Redeemer Bible Church's mission is to proclaim, embody and enjoy the gospel of Jesus Christ so that unbelievers are convinced of the gospel, believers are built up in the gospel, and culture is transformed by the gospel to the glory of God. The church is located in Minnetonka, Minnesota and is not affiliated with a denomination.
Purpose
The aim of the Ministry Coordinator (MC) will be to glorify Jesus Christ wholeheartedly in the power of the Holy Spirit by taking responsibility for the coordination and support of the various ministries of Redeemer Bible Church under the direction of the Pastor of Preaching and Vision and Elders. The MC shall earnestly seek to advance the faith and love of the church and to gather in the lost sheep.
Role
The Ministry Coordinator will coordinate and support the activities of RBC and assist the Pastor of Preaching and Vision (PPV), so that PPV can continue his main responsibility of teaching, vision-casting, and shepherding.

Areas of Responsibility
Coordinate and support the ministry of RBC at every level by …
Meeting regularly with PPV for discipleship, prayer, and planning.
Overseeing the effectiveness of the leadership structure of the church (“Vista” Teams = ministry leadership teams).
Working with PPV to guide the Leadership Teams to set and track measurable goals to insure that the vision and purposes of each ministry are being achieved.
Streamlining all job/ministry position descriptions, vision documents, and ministry-to-ministry communication both with a commitment to maximizing personal creativity, strengths, efficiency, & effectiveness, and while minimizing bureaucracy.
Increasing involvement in mobilizing and coaching the congregation, so that the ministry remains in the hands of the people (Eph 4:12).
Overseeing the launch of new ministries that the Lord raises up, so that they are consistent with the church’s vision and values.
Proposing and helping to draft church policies and procedures that effectively facilitate the vision.
Participating in the monthly Officers’ Huddle and Shepherding Meeting to gather input and bring updates on the church’s progress.
Hiring and Staff Evaluations
Overseeing the staff in such a way that the culture of the staff increasingly embodies the gospel.
Directing the hiring of staff and the formal procedure for dismissing and/or repositioning of staff.
Handling personnel conflicts and troubleshooting program and ministry challenges.
Perform semi-annual performance reviews of church staff in conjunction with the Board of Elders.
Create staff meeting agendas and lead those meeting in cooperation with PPV so that the staff is informed, equipped, nurtured, and a cohesive direction for ministry is provided.
Finances
Oversee the budget development, budget adherence, and cash flow in conjunction with the Board of Deacons.
Other
The Ministry Coordinator will also assume other responsibilities as directed by PPV and the Board of Elders.
History of demonstrated success in organizational leadership and management.
Significant experience in administration of a church, business, and/or other volunteer organization, including relevant experience in human resources management, project management and financial management.
Spiritual gifts of leadership (Rom 12:8) and administrations (1 Cor 12:28), with the ability to encourage others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven presentation skills.
Proven ability in successfully serving as overall staff leader, developing policies and procedures, and hiring, developing, and terminating staff members.
Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop staff and volunteers.
Proven ability to develop and implement a plan to completion, including getting them completed on time and on budget while also working well with others in the process.
Proven ability to be effective while working in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment with diverse constituencies.
Special sensitivity to the process of decision-making: to know when to make a decision individually and when the decision needs wider ownership.
Experience in developing and managing budgets of at least $400,000.
Team player; able to work with the other leaders of the eldership in a plurality to execute on the vision.
An individual of unimpeachable character (see, for example, the qualifications for church officers in 1 Timothy 3, 2 Timothy 2, and Titus 1.
Humility and a demonstrable depth of spiritual devotion and maturity – an individual of prayer and of the Word.
The Ministry Coordinator will be a member in good standing of Redeemer Bible Church. If not a member when hired by the church, the MC will complete the process within three months of the date when employment begins. Beyond the doctrinal and ethical implications in embracing our Creeds & Confession and our Church Covenant (implicit in membership) the Ministry Coordinator will manifest a hearty support for the leadership of the church.
