The Summit Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, is looking for an Executive Pastor of Ministries. The Executive Pastor of Ministries will provide strong, grace-filled leadership to ministry staff across departments, implementing the vision of the church on behalf of the Lead Pastor.

Goals and Outcomes
- Vision
- Assist Lead Pastor in developing and clarifying vision.
- Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to fulfill the vision.
- Implement the vision with key staff.
- Become chief spokesperson for implementing vision.
- Strategic and Scenario Planning
- Coordinate (strategic and scenario) planning process with Lead Pastor and key staff.
- Work with the Lead Pastor to develop and clarify major objectives and goals.
- Assures development of volunteer leadership training and oversight of their ministries by ministry leaders.
- Works closely with the Executive Pastor of Operations to ensure success of churchwide and team specific “Wildly Important Goals.”
Ministry Staff
- Works with the staff team to implement vision.
- Manages and evaluates staff by OKRs.
- Lead monthly staff meetings, outings, and other staff development opportunities as needed.
- Gives support, encouragement and oversight to ministry team leaders to ensure their understanding of vision.
- Administer and oversee Residency and Intern programs.
- Assists in hiring and onboarding with new staff positions and transitions.
- Creates an environment for all staff to be creative, feel valued and cared for.
- Serving as a Pastor
- Preach, teach, and host worship services as needed.
- Lovingly pray, counsel, and serve members of the church community.
- Perform weddings and funerals.
What Will You Bring?
5+ years of experience in a similar role.- Proven track record of relational leadership and coaching.
- Clear calling to a second chair leadership role.
- High emotional IQ to lead a fast-paced and creative team.
- A pattern of character and integrity in your life and leadership.
