With the new DOL standards for managerial salaries, church leaders are asking lots of questions about who is a pastor, are they exempt, what other staff might be exempt.

On July 1, the Department of Labor increased the exemption salary level for managers. The old rate was $35,568. On July 1 it went to $43,888 and on January 1 it will rise to $58,656.

Join noted attorney David Middlebrook of The Church Lawyers as he explains who is exempt and who is not. Are pastors exempt? What about ministry directors and teachers in the church school. How about that Creative Director or Graphic Artist?
